Hair extensions could damage the shine and growth of natural hair, if not properly maintained, but if you maintain it properly, it will last long. Normally, the extension can be easily used on both scalp and hair.

To maintain the haar extensions, you need to follow the following steps:

1.       Always follow the instructions and products recommended by the hair stylist. At the first trial, your hair stylist will clearly give a list of products you can apply on your hairs, at the same time, the professional will suggest some products which you want to be away from after the haar extension. Applying the recommended products on your hair extension will help you to maintain it effectively.

2.       When your hair is wet, you need to give a special treatment to them. One should not sleep on wet hair, it will damage the extension. Hair should not be left wet in a towel for too long as it will make the hair bonds weak.

3.       Mild shampoos and conditioners should be used with proper care, in fact, there should be no application of conditioner on the point of attachment, as the extension may fall off.

4.       Take good care of the extension so that tangles are not formed in any case. Hair needs to be brushed twice a day with extreme care to prevent tangles.

5.       You should ask the hair dresser which type of styling tool can be used on the extension. In fact, styling tools are not recommended to use if the quality of extension is very low. But, if a high-quality hair extension like real hair extension is used, one can treat as the natural hair. Moreover, hot styling tools should be placed separately from hair bond attachments.

6.       If you want to apply color or dye on the extension part, one should take the help of a professional as it can damage the hair.

Hair extension definitely enhances the appearance of the person but a lot of care is needed to maintain the extension beauty.
